About Suzie,
Experienced Spanish Teacher
I’m a qualified Spanish teacher with over 15 years’ experience, and I’m passionate about helping students become confident, capable Spanish speakers.
Because learning a language can feel daunting.
There’s vocabulary to remember, grammar to get your head around, speaking to master and, for GCSE students, exams to prepare for. It’s very easy for students to lose confidence when they feel they’re falling behind, comparing themselves to others or simply don’t know where to start.
That’s where I come in.
At Confidence in Spanish, I create supportive, engaging lessons that break Spanish down into manageable steps, build solid foundations and help students develop the skills and strategies they need to succeed in their exams.
My teaching is all about making Spanish feel less overwhelming and much more achievable. I use clear explanations, active learning, games, repetition and plenty of opportunities to practise in real time- because I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable enough to have a go, make mistakes and keep going.
Whether your child is aiming for their very best GCSE grade and needs extra support, or you’re an adult finally getting around to learning the language you’ve always wanted to speak, I’m here to help.
Because ultimately, it's not just about getting better at Spanish.
It’s about feeling capable.
Spanish skills. Exam confidence. A belief that they can do it.

My Tutoring Approach
I believe that confidence is at the heart of successful language learning.
Every student is different, so my approach is never one-size-fits-all. I get to know how each learner learns best and create lessons that are tailored, engaging and purposeful.
Whether a student learns best through visual aids, stories, rhyme, games, repetition or practical conversation, I adapt my teaching to help Spanish make sense and, importantly, help them feel successful.
For GCSE students, this means combining strong Spanish foundations with the skills and strategies they need to approach their exams with confidence. We’ll work on the areas they find challenging, fill gaps in their knowledge and build the confidence to use what they know, rather than simply learning things by rote.
For younger learners and beginners, lessons are active, varied and age-appropriate, helping them develop their Spanish naturally while building a positive relationship with the language from the start.
Lessons typically last 45 minutes to an hour, giving us enough time to make meaningful progress while keeping students focused, motivated and enjoying their Spanish.
Ultimately, my aim is simple: to help every student feel that Spanish is something they can do.
