Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to Spanish lessons and services provided by Confidence in Spanish, run by Suzie Goldsmith.
By booking lessons or submitting the Confidence in Spanish booking form, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings and payment
Lessons are booked by agreement with Confidence in Spanish and are subject to availability.
Invoices are issued separately and payment is due by the date stated on the invoice. Details of lesson fees and payment arrangements will be confirmed before lessons begin.
2. Cancelling or rearranging lessons
If you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson, please give as much notice as possible.
Where a lesson is cancelled with less than the agreed notice period, the lesson may still be chargeable unless an alternative arrangement is agreed.
If Confidence in Spanish needs to cancel or rearrange a lesson, an alternative time will be offered wherever possible.
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.
3. Late arrival and missed lessons
Lessons will normally finish at the scheduled time even if a student arrives late.
If a student does not attend a lesson without prior notice, the lesson may still be chargeable.
For online lessons, students are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and appropriate environment for the lesson.
4. Online lessons
Online lessons may be delivered using platforms such as Pencil Spaces, Zoom or other suitable online teaching platforms.
Students are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately during online lessons.
5. Teaching resources
Worksheets, activities, Wordwall games and other resources provided by Confidence in Spanish are for the student's personal educational use.
Resources must not be copied, sold, published or shared publicly without prior permission.
6. Recording and screenshots
Lessons must not be recorded, photographed, screenshotted or shared by either the tutor or student without prior permission from the other party.
7. Parents and guardians
Where the student is under 18, the person booking the lessons confirms that they are the student's parent or legal guardian and agrees to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the student.
Parents/guardians are responsible for supporting younger students to attend lessons and engage appropriately.
8. Progress and exam results
Confidence in Spanish provides teaching, guidance and exam preparation designed to support students in developing their Spanish skills and confidence.
However, no particular grade, exam result or level of progress can be guaranteed. Outcomes depend on a range of factors, including attendance, effort, independent study and performance in examinations.
9. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Confidence in Spanish Privacy & Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the services provided by Confidence in Spanish.
